25 years ago today, on the 7th of October 1977, guitarist Steve Hackett left Genesis after 7 years in the band and 6 studio albums, including some of the most classic albums from the band.
Hackett was one of the most innovative guitar players in the 70’s, and after his departure from Genesis he started a solo career, having recorded numerous brilliant albums such as “Spectral Mornings” (1979), “Defector” (1980), “Guitar Noir” (1993), and “Dark Town” (1999).
