30 years ago today, on the 18th of November 1974, Genesis released their fifth studio album “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway”. The double album is considered one of the masterworks from the 70’s and one of the top albums in the band’s career and it’s based upon a conceptual story about a Puertorican graffiti artist in New York called Rael. It was recorded in a mobile studio in Wales and it features the collaboration of Brian Eno. The album release was followed by a world tour with a special show featuring visuals and the performance of the whole album. This was the last album of the band featuring Peter Gabriel on vocals, who left in July 1975.
