30 years ago today, on the 4th of November 1973, a benefit concert was held at London’s Rainbow theatre for Soft Machine’s drummer Robert Wyatt, who remains in a wheelchair after the accident he suffered in June 1973 when he fell from a window in a party. Soft Machine, Pink Floyd, and Tempest performed in the show.
