30 years ago now, in May 1974, Brian Eno’s debut album “Here Come the Warm Jets”, which is considered one of the most innovative albums from the 70’s, was released on EG records.

Produced by Brian Eno, the album was recorded in September 1973 at London Majestic Studios, and it was mixed at Air and Olympic Studios by Eno and Chris Thomas. Brian Eno singed vocals and played keyboards, synthesizers, snake guitar, and electric larynx. He was accompanied by musicians Robert Fripp (guitar), Chris Speeding (guitar), Paul Rudolph (guitar), Nick Kool (keyboards), Nick Judd (keyboards), Cherry Jones (bass), Bill Mac Cormick (bass), John Wetton (bass), Simon King (drums), Marty Simon (drums), and his mates from Roxy Music Phil Manzanera (guitar), Andy Mackay (keyboards) and Paul Hompson (drums).

Brian Eno had quit Roxy Music in July 1973 to pursue a solo career. His debut album was one of the most fresh, personal, and innovative records from the 70’s, which broke the boundaries of Glam Rock. “Here Come the Warm Jets” preceded the later Punk and New Wave scenes with great doses of sound experimentation and would later be an inspiration for future generations.
