35th Anniversary of King Crimson’s “In the Court of the Crimson King”

35 years ago today, on the 10th of October 1969, King Crimson’s debut album “In the Court of the Crimson King” was released. The album became one of the founding stones of the British progressive rock scene in the early 70’s and caused the admiration of the whole London scene and became highly acclaimed in the music press. King Crimson are still an active band today and they have gone through numerous line-up changes through the years always under the direction of guitarist Robert Fripp.

“In the Court of the Crimson King” reached # 5 in the UK album charts
and # 30 in the US. It’s still considered one of the top albums in the history
of modern music.
