About

ABOUT INTUITIVE MUSIC

* Intuitive Music is an independent web publication dedicated to the different styles and manifestations in alternative, creative, and experimental music of the 21st Century.

* Intuitive Music is managed under the editors approval of quality in the choosing of the content. The focus of this web site is a bid for those artists and music labels which we think are bringing creativity, originality and quality to contemporary music, further than the labels put on music styles.

* This web site is NOT a service nor a platform of free promotion for artists, clubs, festivals and record labels in the music industry. Intuitive Music accepts sponsorship in the form of publicity from those business companies that are interested in our promotional services and are integrated in the contents of the web site.

HISTORY

Intuitive Music has been constantly going through a process of improvement and expansion since it’s birth. It was started by Koldo Barroso in April 2000 after noticing the lack of a website in the internet where all the different forms ands styles of alternative music would thrive together.

Intuitive Music started as an English language website. From it’s original 8 sections, it grew to 13 sections in August 2001.

By late 2001, the website went through the first metamorphosis to Flash technology and became an international portal featuring content for 3 different areas of the world: USA/Canada, Europe, and Spain/Southamerica.

In 2002, Naomi Niles (Colorado, USA) moved and joined the project to co-direct the web site along with Koldo. During this year, both also established their parallel graphic and web design project: .

In February 2003, after several months of work, Intuitive Music was proud to introduce what we think is the most comprehensive guide of electronic music in the internet: Techno Guide. During this year the portal got 5 international awards for web design and development, and it placed among the top 5 electronic music portals in the world.
