Asmus Tietchens - Biography
August 16th, 2003 by Koldo BarrosoBorn in 1947 and based in Hamburg, Asmus Tietchen was pioneer of early homemade electronica during the 60’s and 70’s, influenced by Karlheinz Stockhausen and Gottfried Michael Koeing.
In 1980, Asmus Tietchen’s work was discovered by Peter Baumann from Tangerine Dream, who supported his first releases ever. After a series of synth pop albums, Tietchens returned to his most experimental side in the mid 80’s.
Asmus Tietchens has also worked along with artists such as Cluster, Dieter Moebius, and Okko Bekker.
