Badly Drawn Boy Sues XL Recordings

Badly Drawn Boy (Damon Gough) is currently suing XL Recordings for lost royalty payments for his ‘About a Boy’ soundtrack album. He is seeking $540,000 and claims that $360,000 was erroneously deducted from royalties owed to him from the album and that the album royalties were instead used to pay the producers of the film for the soundtrack rights. On top of that, he is also asking for $71,571 from XL for his last release on the label called ‘One Plus One is One’.
He recently signed to EMI this year after parting ways with XL.
