Brian Wilson’s Voices

Brian Wilson

Apparently former Beach Boys star Brian Wilson suffers daily from hallucinations of voices in his own head. The voices regularly give him death threats.

Wilson says, “The voices say, ‘I’m gonna hurt you, I’m gonna kill you,’ and I’d say, ‘Please don’t kill me.’

“I still hear them. I still hear things like, ‘I’m gonna kill you,’ but I don’t have very many of those kind of thoughts, and not while I’m singing or writing, (but) when I’m not singing or writing…”

“Three or four hours will go by and then all of a sudden they’ll come back in.”

This revelation comes on the heels of another story with Wilson ending a legal battle against his former psychologist Eugene Landy.  Landy treated for 9 years for drug and food addictions. However, Wilson states that Landy then took advantage of the singer and began controlling him. Wilson states, I wasn’t able to call my family or my friends at all for nine years. He had that much control on my life. He doped me up with medication. He kept me doped up so I couldn’t resist what he told me to do. He’s a control freak.”

No note on how the battle turned out, but we presume favorably for Wilson. Wilson’s wife Melinda claims that he is now much better with his health and no longer suffers from long bouts of depression.
