Chris & Cosey was formed in London 1981 by Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti -Christine Newby- after the split of their former industrial band Throbbing Gristle.

The duo moved towards a synth pop style, working also under the name of CTI (Creative Technology Institute), which is also their own record label. Chris & Cosey’s debut album “Trance” was released in 1990 and it is considered to be one of the pioneering electro and techno works.

Chris & Cosey have produced some of the greatest electronic music of the 80’s and 90’s and have influenced countless others. They also do many remixes and Cosey is involved in the art world, often showing her art at various exhibitions around the world.

Chris & Cosey changed their name to Carter Tutti In honor of the dawn of the 21st Centry. In 2004, they took part in the reunion of Throbbing Gristle after 23 years apart.
