“Somersault” is the second work from the Australian band Decoder Ring, an album born as the soundtrack of the Australian movie “Somersault”, which was the most acclaimed by Film Academy of Australia during the last year.
Decoder Ring was formed in 2001 by Thomas Schutzinger (drums, synthesizer), Pete Kelley (guitar) y Matt Fitzgerald (guitar, synthesizer and keyboards). They have been compared with bands such as Royksopp, Mogwai, Sigur Rós, Björk, My Bloody Valentine, and Air. “Somersault” won the 1st Award for the soundtracks in the 2004 edition of the AFI awards in Australia. |
