The legendary krautrock band Faust has been reformed in a new reincarnation that includes Zappi W. Diermaier (drums), Jean-Herv Pron (guitar, vocals), Olivier Manchion (bass, guitar) and Amaury Cambuzat (vocals, guitar). The band has been rehearsing recently in Schiphort, Germany, and will play at the Schiphorst festival and tour the UK later this year.

On the other hand, the other version of Faust will be playing at the Klangbad festival in August, featuring Hans Joachim Irmler (keyboard instruments), Steven Wray Lobdell (guitar), Michael Stoll (bass), Lars Paukstat (noises) and Arnulf Meifert (drums). Meifert was a founding member of Faust and will share the stage with Faust for the first time after 30 years. Furthermore Steven Wray Lobdell and Stoll and Irmler will present their respective solo projects.

The Klangbad Festival will be celebrated from the 12th to 14th of August in Scheer, Germany, and is organized by founding member of Faust, Hans Joachim Irmler, and managing director of the independent record label Klangbad, Cornelia Paul. With Faust as the leading act, for three days the most diverse current musical tendencies will be brought together at an international level. Bands will be performing open air on the festival stage and indoors at the newly created festival club. The festival will include the minimal Finnish rockers Circle , the Hamburg power beat formation Captn Howdy, featuring Faust member Lars Paukstat, the multinational women quartet Nista Nije Nista, the lo-fi psychedelic, post punk Frankfurt duo S/T, and the avant-garde Stuttgart based band Audiac.
