Ian Wallace forms The Crimson Jazz Trio

Drummer Ian Wallace and original member of King Crimson in the 70’s has formed the The Crimson Jazz Trio, with bassist Tim Landers and pianist Jody Nardone. The Crimson Jazz Trio plays brand-new jazz interpretations of the progressive rock band King Crimson favourites and plans to release its first album, “The King Crimson Songbook, Volume One”, on Voiceprint Records in October. Ian Wallace joined King Crimson in December 1970 to record the album “Islands” (1971) and left the band in 1972 to form the band Shape with King Crimson members Mel Collins and Boz Burrell, and British blues legend Alexis Korner.
