Midnight Oil Former Singer Collapes

The former singer of Midnight Oil, Peter Garrett was hospitalized
after collapsing on Maroubra beach in Sydney on Saturday (November 27,
2004). He reportedly collapsed after taking a morning swim although the
cause of the collapse still hasn't been determined. He is, we are happy
to report, apparently ok for now though.
He says, "It's good to be back on my feet again. [There are] no obvious
causes as to why this happened and we'll get some more tests and checks
done next week."
Simon Balderstone, Garrett's political adviser said, "He's very fit and
healthy and it's probably fair to say he's a lot fitter and healthier
than your average 51-year-old Australian male."
Midnight Oil is one of the most relevant Australian bands which formed
in 1976. They have released more than 10 studio albums and their music
is reputed for having big doses of creativity and experimentalism.
