Peter Baumann - Strangers in the Night (1983)
June 25th, 2007 by Koldo Barroso
I remember the shock of watching Peter Baumann on TV singing a synth pop version of Frank Sinatra’s “Strangers In the Night”. This is a wonderfull album, pretty hard to find by the way.
After quitting Tangerine Dream, Peter Baumann released his first solo work “Romance ‘76″in 1976, which was was a fusion of space rock, electronic music and avant-garde music, gaining international success. In 1981, his solo album “Repeat Repeat” marked a change in Peter Baumann’s career oriented to synth pop.
