Rod Stewart Injures Paul Oakenfold’s Father-in-law

Last Monday, August 30, 2004, Rod Stewart accidently sent Paul Oakenfold’s father-in-law, Vincenzo Costa to the hospital at the Hollywood Bowl gig. Rod Stewart apparently regularly kicks footballs (soccer ball) into the audence at the end of the performance. This time, he accidenly hit Costa in the head causing him to go into convulsions and spend four hours in the emergency room.
Costa’s daughter Angela said, “Dad was in an awful state. I was terrified he would have a heart attack. If Rod has been told about it, I’m surprised. I haven’t heard anything. Our home here overlooks the Bowl. We could have watched from the garden and my parents would have been safe.”
Paul Oakenfold is purportedly threatening to sue Stewart unless he apologizes for the incidet.
