Rough Trade has released a CD compilation of the post punk band Scritti Politti that includes singles, EPs and the ‘Peel Sessions’ recorded between 1978 and 1981. This is the first epoch of the band headed by Green Gartside, which was the one closer to the post-punk and experimental sound.
Formed in 1978 in London, Scritti Politti went through different line-up and style changes. “Early” recovers the experimental times of the band, before moving to the pop-oriented sound that made them famous.
