This is the first work for DiN label and 9th solo album by New York based Japanese musician Tetsu Inoue. He has been credited as one of the top producers of ambient music for his album "Ambiant Otaku" (94) and has played with artists such as Bill Laswell, Atom Heart, Pete Namlook and Jonah Sharp.
What does it sound like?
Warmth and humanly developed electronic digital abstract minimal music.
Similar artists:
Taylor Deupree, Kim Cascone, Fennesz, Rob Mazurek and the latest works by Biosphere have created some of the most beautiful organic digital music from the last years. I would include Tetsu Inoue in this list.
Highlights:
The whole album is a highlight itself. Inoue has created a beautiful world of floating tones and welcoming sound waves that I only can compare to the primitive feeling of being a baby inside the mother’s amniotic liquid.
Recommendations:
Recommended to everyone who would enjoy spending some 50 minutes of their life laying down with a good pair
of headphones in the dark with the intention of experimenting with a different array of acoustic sensations of Inoue’s gentle and delicate passages. This album was selected as one of the top 20 albums from 2005 in our yearly selection.
