NY based jazz ensemble, The Claudia Quintet, will be touring Austria, Germany and The Netherlands this winter to present their ultimate "Semi-Formal" album, released on Cuneiform Records last October. The Claudia Quintet melds influences from classical minimalism (Terry Riley, John Adams, Steve Reich), new music composition, and progressive and post-rock (Tortoise, The Necks) with an astonishingly fresh jazz sensibility.

The band features group leader/drummer/composer John Hollenbeck plus Drew Gress (double bass), Matt Moran (vibraphone), Ted Reichman (accordion) and Chris Speed (tenor sax and clarinet).
