Thomas Brinkmann is one of the most reputed electronic music producers and main representatives of minimal techno.

Emerging from Dusseldorf, Germany, Thomas Brinkmann is also well known for his re-workings for Richie Hawtin and Mike Ink and for the use of two tonearms on the turntable instead of one and the cut of scratches into the vinyl to create different sound effects, linking sound and visual art together. This technique was used in numerous techno and dub oriented single releases that were compiled in 2001 in the “Rosa” album.

He has also released several works featuring manipulation of vocal samplings on the Suposse label under the moniker Ester Brinkmann, including “Totes Rennen” (1998), “Weisse Naechte” (1999) and Der Ubersetzer (2001). In 2001, Thomas Brinkmannn released his most reputed work “Klick”, where he fusiones dub with glitch genres. In 2002, Brinkman was involved in the project of deconstruction of soul music “Soul Center”. Other compilation works from his career are the albums “Rox” (2002) and “Tokyo+1″ (2004).
