His extensive work has been released in a vast array of compilation
albums in labels such as Blue Room, East-West, PIAS, Totally Eclipsed
Recordings, and Twisted. He has also worked with reputed artists such
as Total Eclipse, Natacha Atlas (Transglobal
Underground) and Claude Challe.
�Majmar� is the first part of a remix project which features electronic
oriented versions of T�ires works with the presence of other artists
such as the Russian vocalist Irina, the German multi-instrumentalist
Prem Joshua, and the Turkish multi-instrumentalist Omar Faruk Tekbilek.
The album starts with the quiet ambient ethnic piece of �Lahore Connection�
and the electronic vibe of the album grows track by track in a crescendo
going through different fusions of ethnic and electronic music including
Trip Hop, Dub, House, and Drum �N� Bass.
�Don�t Cry Love� is an excellent work of ethnic percussion, playing
Hip
Hop breakbeats in a fresh way that would beat even the best DJ or
programmer.
Trip
Hop sounds and jazzy trumpet arrangements are also combined with
western music in �Mustahil� in a style that the author calls �electroslide�.
Another Trip Hop track is �Dereye� , which features the warm and rich
voice of Irina style that brings to mind the latest works of Dead Can
Dance. The quality of the drums and bass in this track is really awesome.
The sound is also excellent in �Feeling� which features Gator Dash in
a Dub
exercise surrounded by layers of electronic ambient effects.
�Kia� is also an ambient vocal track with some EBM
style analogue sounds that mark the meridian point of the electronic
sound in the album, which becomes more rhythmically oriented with tracks
like �Gator� (ethnic house with raging analogue synths), �Vodoo Love�
(Progressive
House bass sequences), and �Mermaid� (Drum
�N� Bass breakbeats). The last one features a hidden track with
a furious D �N� B comeback.
�Majmar� is an excellent album of fusion between real ethnic music
and electronica, a very pleasurable album with a nice mood, very well
produced and with a rich quality of sound. Very recommended for any
ethnic and electronic music lover.
